Over the next few weeks, all MEHMS teachers will be reading this book from the National Middle School Association. This short read is packed full of fantastic ideas for structuring the enrichment and remediation period. It is important that adolescent students find a connection with one or more of their teachers/staff and this book provides a framework to help facilitate that relationship. Built around the ASCA model, the suggested activities, planned by grade level teams and encore, focus on the Academic, Social, and Emotional learning needs of all students.
