Welcome New Staff

On Monday, our new staff will officially join us MEHMS. However, most of them have already been in the building working.

• Returning to FCCPS, from Fairfax schools is Tish Pugh, our new counseling secretary. She has been busy with registrations and making sure files are in order.

• New from Atlanta, is Felicia Mormon, our new Finance/Assistant Principal Secretary. She has been busy ordering teacher supplies and making sure Ms. Lovette is ready to go for this year.

• New from New York City Public Schools, is Maureen Warfield, our new 7th Grade Spanish Teacher. She is coming to us with middle school experience and an enthusiasm for foreign language.

• And all the way over from George Mason High School, is Chin Mah, our new 7th Grade French Teacher. She has been teaching 8th Grade French at Mason for a couple of years and is excited to be working with the students she will have next year.

Sadly, we say good bye to long time 5th grade teacher Lisa Mueller, but gladly welcome Gillian Thomson. Ms. Mueller has been granted the honor of participating in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program and is swapping lives with Ms. Thomson. Ms. Mueller will be teaching all subjects in a small school in Scotland and Ms. Thomson takes over on the 5th Grade Team. We are excited for both teachers and the rich experience this will be for them both personally and professionally. Congrats to Lisa Mueller for this great achievement. We welcome Ms. Thomson and wish Ms. Mueller all the best on her travels in Scotland!
