What is in a sunrise?

At first glance, one may only see the house in the background against this beautiful sunrise. I took this picture while on vacation with my family without realizing just how beautiful the sunrise was. The other thing that I didn't notice is the house in the forefront of this picture. I was so focused on the back house that I nearly missed the one that was closest to me. It is important to note that we have to take time and notice the small things or the things that are right in front of us. If you look carefully at this picture, you will notice the house directly on the lake which is gracefully shadowed by the other house. So you ask why is this on your blog Ms. McCarty? The reason is simple: no matter how big or small, sun or shine, shadow or not, we must take time to notice everything in the pictures of our lives. Take time to enjoy beautiful sunrises, but don't miss the things in the shadows. We often get caught up in our every day dealings of life such as homework, tests, or school activities - nothing wrong with that, but take time to notice the things right in front of you and appreciate them and their natural beauty.
