I am now onto the second half of my journey through Constructivism and reading more about Lev Vygotsky. Now reading Mind In Society - The Development of Higher Psychological Processes and learning more about scaffolding and zone of proximal development. It is interesting how this concept was developed in 1908 and still very applicable today - actually considered a "best practice." When dealing with students it is important to remember that they learn in stages and need the help of a caring adult to guide them through.
